We operate a seven-product digital business infrastructure platform serving African entrepreneurs and SMEs, with our primary operational headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria.

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, MicroWeb Labs LLC is the data controller for all personal data collected through our website, platform, and associated products including MicroWebly, MicroHostly, MicroMaily, MicroAgently, MicroTrainly, MicroStorely, and MicroLensly.

We do not collect sensitive personal data such as race, ethnicity, political opinions, religious beliefs, biometric data, or health information. We do not collect full payment card numbers — all card processing is handled by certified third-party payment processors.

How We Use Your Data

We use the personal data we collect for the following purposes:

Service delivery: to create and manage your account, deliver the suite products you subscribe to, process payments, and provide customer support
Platform improvement: to understand how our products are used, identify bugs and performance issues, and develop new features based on genuine usage patterns
Communications: to send transactional emails (receipts, password resets, account alerts), product updates, and — where you have opted in — marketing communications and the Insights newsletter
Security: to detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions, abuse, and security breaches
Legal compliance: to comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes in Wyoming (USA) and Nigeria
Partner and investor relations: to manage partnership agreements, investor communications, and due diligence processes where relevant
Our Commitment

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not share your data with advertisers. We do not use your data to build profiles for targeted advertising. Your data is used to run our platform and serve you — nothing else.

Legal Basis for Processing

Where applicable — particularly for users in Nigeria (under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023) and in jurisdictions with GDPR-equivalent frameworks — we process personal data on the following legal bases:

Contract performance: processing necessary to deliver the services you have subscribed to under our Terms of Service
Legitimate interests: processing for platform security, fraud prevention, product improvement, and business analytics where these interests are not overridden by your rights

International Data Transfers

MicroWeb Labs is a Wyoming-registered company with operational headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria. Your data may be processed in both jurisdictions and, in some cases, in the jurisdictions where our cloud infrastructure providers operate (including the United States and South Africa via AWS Cape Town).

We take data sovereignty seriously. Where possible, we route African customer data through African infrastructure (AWS Africa — Cape Town) to minimise cross-border transfers. Where transfers do occur, they are governed by appropriate data transfer agreements consistent with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and applicable international frameworks.

Section 08

Data Retention

We retain personal data for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. Our standard retention periods are:

Account data: retained for the duration of your active account and for 24 months following account closure, after which it is permanently deleted or anonymised
Billing and transaction records: retained for 7 years to comply with financial and tax record-keeping obligations under Nigerian and US law
Usage and technical data: retained in anonymised, aggregated form for up to 36 months for platform improvement purposes
Communications and support records: retained for 24 months following the close of a support interaction
Marketing consent records: retained until consent is withdrawn, plus 12 months for audit purposes

Your Rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and applicable international frameworks, you have the following rights with respect to your personal data:

Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data we hold about you.

Request deletion of your personal data where there is no compelling reason for us to continue processing it.

Cookies & Tracking

MicroWeb Labs uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate our platform, remember your preferences, and understand how our services are used. We categorise cookies as follows:

Essential cookies: required for the platform to function — session management, authentication, security. Cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality.
Preference cookies: remember your settings, language, and interface choices across sessions. Can be disabled.
Analytics cookies: collect anonymised data about how the platform is used to inform product improvement. Can be disabled via cookie settings.
Marketing cookies: used only if you have explicitly opted into marketing communications. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings or through the cookie consent interface presented on your first visit to the platform. Disabling essential cookies may affect your ability to use core platform features.

Section 11

Children's Privacy

The MicroWeb Labs platform is intended for use by adults and business operators. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 18. If we become aware that a minor has provided personal data without verifiable parental or guardian consent, we will delete that data promptly.

Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Our security measures include:

TLS/HTTPS encryption for all data in transit between your browser and our servers
AES-256 encryption for sensitive data at rest
Bcrypt hashing for all stored passwords — we cannot read your password
Role-based access controls limiting internal data access to authorised personnel on a need-to-know basis
Regular security audits and penetration testing
Incident response protocols with commitment to notify affected users within 72 hours of a confirmed data breach

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we maintain industry-standard safeguards, we cannot guarantee absolute security. We encourage users to use strong passwords and to notify us immediately of any suspected unauthorised account access.

Third-Party Links

Our platform may contain links to third-party websites, services, and integrations — including payment providers, logistics partners, and technology integrations. These third parties operate under their own privacy policies, and MicroWeb Labs bears no responsibility for their data practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party service you access through our platform.

Section 14

Policy Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our data practices, legal requirements, or platform capabilities. We will notify you of material changes via email (to your registered account address) and by posting a prominent notice on the platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of the MicroWeb Labs platform after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. If you do not accept the revised policy, you may close your account at any time without penalty.

The version number and effective date at the top of this document reflect the current version in force. Previous versions are available upon request.
