We are a small, deliberate team building large, consequential things. If you want to do the most meaningful work of your career — on a continent where the stakes are real and the category is wide open — this is where you belong.
Most people spend their careers building products for markets that already have ten alternatives. At MicroWeb Labs, we are building in a category that has no serious native competitor — and for a market of 54 million businesses that has never been properly served.
That is a rare thing. The kind of problem that only comes around once or twice in a generation. The people who join us now are not joining a company — they are founding a category. Their fingerprints will be on the infrastructure that powers African digital commerce for the next twenty years.
We operate with the rigour of a serious institution and the pace of a founding team. We hire slowly, trust completely, and build with a standard that does not bend to shortcuts. If that sounds demanding — it is. It is also the most satisfying kind of work there is.
Culture is not a list of perks. It is the set of decisions a team makes when no one is watching. These are ours.
Every open role at MicroWeb Labs is a founding-layer position. There are no background roles at this stage of the company.
Own the backend architecture and API layer across the MicroWeb Labs suite. Node.js / TypeScript / PostgreSQL stack. You will be the second engineer on the platform and the first dedicated to infrastructure depth.
Build the drag-and-drop website builder experience for African entrepreneurs. React, performance optimisation for low-bandwidth environments, and a relentless focus on usability. Mobile-first is not a constraint — it is the entire brief.
Architect and deploy the AI agent layer inside MicroAgently — the ReAct loop, tool integrations, WhatsApp/SMS connectors, and the orchestration layer that makes AI automation accessible to African SMEs without technical backgrounds.
Own the product roadmap across the seven-product suite — from feature prioritisation and customer discovery to cross-product integration design. You will work directly with the founder and report into the core team.
Own the design system across the MicroWeb Labs platform and all seven suite products. From the holding company brand identity to individual product UI — you will build the visual language that African entrepreneurs interact with every day.
Own the acquisition engine for MicroWebly and MicroHostly's Nigerian and pan-African rollout. SEO, performance marketing, content distribution, partnership-led growth, and community building. You will build the first MicroWeb Labs customer base.
Build and run the MicroWeb Labs Insights content engine — research-led articles, market intelligence reports, and founder thought leadership that positions MicroWeb Labs as the authoritative voice on African digital business infrastructure.
Own the post-sale experience for MicroWebly and MicroHostly customers in Nigeria. Onboarding, retention, upsell, and the feedback loop back into the product team. You will be the voice of the customer inside MicroWeb Labs.
We are a pre-Series A company. We do not pretend otherwise. What we offer is competitive in the African market, honest about the stage, and structured to reward the people who build the foundation.
Our hiring process is designed to be fast, honest, and respectful of your time. We do not run six rounds of interviews or ask you to complete unpaid projects. We do a small amount of focused work together — and then we decide.
We typically move from first application to offer in under three weeks for roles we are actively hiring. We communicate at every stage — you will never wonder where you stand.
We hire for three things above all others: the quality of your thinking, the quality of your work, and your alignment with what we are building. Credentials matter less than evidence.
Use this form for any open role or to submit an open application. Attach your CV and any portfolio or work samples that are relevant. Tell us why this company, at this moment, is where you want to be.
Applications are reviewed by the MicroWeb Labs founding team — not an HR function, not an ATS filter. A real person reads every submission.
